An Online Mentoring Course has been launched on the Netball Australia website
Netball Australia, in conjunction with the Australian Sports Commission, is pleased to launch this online mentoring course for all coaches, umpires and officials of all levels.
Mentoring is a highly effective way for coaches, umpires and officials to learn the 'art' of their role and apply theory that they may have learnt in a classroom or through independent study. Mentoring relationships can be formally structured, with mentors assigned to officials, or they can grow out of a chance encounter with a like-minded person and remain very informal.
This FREE online course is divided into 7 modules covering the following topics:
(i) how does mentoring work
(ii) know yourself as a mentor
(iii) initial meeting
(iv) know your mentee
(v) giving feedback
(vi) improving performance
(vii) conflict/challenging situations
