FDAS FAQ

When do you train?

Most teams train on a Wednesday night between 4.30 and 8.30. Times are dependent on your coach’s availability. Some junior teams train at their local school.

Where do you train?

FDAS trains at Cintra Park Netball Courts, Crane Street Concord. Some Junior (8yr-12yr) teams train at St Marks or All Hallows depending upon the team composition.

Where are games held?

All games are played at Cintra Park Netball Courts, Crane Street Concord on a Saturday

  • 5-7 year olds participate in NetSetGo Mini Magpies which is usually held 8.30 or 9.30am for

45 mins on a Saturday Morning

  • 8 -15 year olds play are held hourly between 8.30am and 12.30pm. Once allocated a time you play at that time each week all season. Times are set just prior to season start
  • Cadets (16/17) and Seniors play at 12.30pm, 1.50pm or 3.10pm

When does the competition start?

Round 1 2025 for Minis and players 8yrs and above begins on Saturday April 5.

How can I tell what age group I am in?

Age Groups are determined by the age you are turning in the current calendar year. If your child turns 10 in 2025 they play in the 10’s also referred to as the 10 Year competition.

When I register online do I need to do anything else?

If you are new to FDAS you will also need to email a copy of your birth certificate or passport to

Please be aware that places are limited and your spot in a team is only final once confirmed by the FDAS registrar.

What is the cost?

Registration cost is:

Net Set Go          (5-7 years in 2023)             $140

Junior                    (8-15 years in 2023)           $200

Cadets                  (16-17 years in 2023)        $210

Seniors/Open    (18+ years in 2023)            $240

Uniform cost (compulsory dress) is $75.00

NSG 5-7YR MINI MAGPIES – T Shirt and player pack is provided as part of your registration. You are not required to purchase a dress until the Junior or 8yrs competition.

Can I play with my friend?

While we always try and keep friends together FDAS does grade players going into the U/10

season. We will attempt to fulfil requests where possible. Returning players will always be given 1st

preference for spots in teams if they register on time

Players may nominate to play in a certain team however the FDAS Grading Committee will review all players’ requests when registrations close and put our teams together to the benefit of all players.

I have a friend only wants to play if she is in my team?

While players may nominate to play in a certain team the FDAS Grading Committee will review all players’ requests when registrations close.  We always advise a new player to register and if we are unable to accommodate your registration request we will contact you asap to let you know.

Can my 5-7 year old play Netball?

Yes. 5-7 year olds play in the NetSetGo Mini Magpies program. It is a skills based program incorporating fun activities designed to introduce players to netball. No uniform is required and all participants receive a pack from Netball NSW which includes a t-shirt which can be worn to the sessions.

Who will Coach and Manage my daughter’s team?

FDAS relies on the assistance of team parents to coach and manage each team. The coach role can be shared if necessary. Teams will not be registered until a coach is found for each new team.
